Psychotherapy

Therapy works best when it's built around who you actually are — not a one-size-fits-all protocol. Our clinicians draw from a range of evidence-based and relational approaches, including psychodynamic and relational therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic-based approaches that address how the body holds and expresses emotional experience. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we take the time to understand the whole picture — your history, patterns, relationships, and how your mind and body respond to stress — and match the approach to what will actually help.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, a major life transition, relationship difficulties, or simply feel stuck and want to understand yourself more deeply, therapy offers a space to slow down, gain insight, and build practical tools for change. Our providers offer individual, couples, and family psychotherapy.

Who We See

  • Adults navigating anxiety, depression, or life transitions

  • Individuals processing relationship or family difficulties

  • Clients who prefer a structured, skills-based approach, as well as those seeking deeper, insight-oriented work

  • People wanting to address stress or emotional patterns through both mind and body

  • Individuals seeking a genuine, longer-term therapeutic relationship — not just symptom management

What to Expect

Therapy typically begins with an initial consultation to talk through what's bringing you in, what approach might fit best, and whether we're a good match. From there, most clients meet weekly, though frequency and approach can flex based on your needs and how things evolve. Sessions are available in-person at our Chicago and San Francisco offices, or via telehealth.

Our Approach

We believe meaningful change happens in the context of a real relationship, and that no single method fits every person or every problem. Some clients benefit most from the structured, skills-based tools of CBT or ACT; others do deeper work through psychodynamic exploration of long-standing patterns; and for many, somatic approaches — attending to how emotion and stress live in the body — open doors that talk therapy alone doesn't reach. Many of our clinicians have specialized training across these modalities, and we'll work together to find the approach, or combination of approaches, that fits how you think and what you're working through.
